This website is dedicated to Delorean time machine car as it appeared in the film “Back to the Future.”  Our goal is to share beautiful images of what is without question the coolest film car ever put on screen.  The car featured on this site is a fully functioning, street legal vehicle, customized to look exactly like the time machine as seen in the first film.  Every wire, every hose, every detail has been recreated.  All interior electronics light up, make sounds, and function as they did in the film.  This includes fully-programmable “Time Circuits” and, of course, the “Flux Capacitor.”  Commissioned from master craftsman Gary Weaver II, it represents a shared love and respect for the design of the car, the craft of everyone involved in making the original film, and the enormous impact it has had on a generation.  That generation now finds itself deeply nostalgic for the 80s, and this car serves as an icon to one of the brightest spots of that decade.  I hope you will share your thoughts by commenting on the pictures found on the site.  More pictures will be uploaded as they become available.

This is another beautiful picture from our Gamble House series.  The Gamble House is located in Pasadena, CA and was used as the location for Doc Brown’s house in the films.  The garage was used for his lab.  Though we never see the time travel vehicle in front of Doc’s house in the film, Marty and Doc had to get the car back to his lab somehow.  Maybe Doc would have taken a moment to show off for the neighbors?  Probably not.

This is a great shot of the Delorean time machine from behind, with the headlights illuminating the beautiful Gamble House (better known as Doc Brown’s mansion) in the background.  Here we can see some of the detail work on their rear deck of the car, as well as the electroluminescent wire beneath the “flux bands.”  The talented designers of the original car from “Back to the Future” used a combination of surplus electronic and aircraft parts as well as custom fabricated props to turn the stock Delorean into something you can really believe would travel through time.

Here we get a glimpse of the interior of the BTTF Time Machine.  The Delorean interior is cramped as it is, adding all the electronics required for time travel only makes matters worse.  This picture features the “time circuit switch,” the time circuits themselves, as well as the overhead switches, just as they appeared in the original film.
